The VIS-B range utilises digital Line Interactive, (VI) technology with a digitized PWM-based controller providing a pure sinewave (S) output, (VI+S = VIS) making it perfect for sensitive applications where pure power is required.
As offline & square wave UPS don't provide the level of protection you may require - or are incompatible with your load- and online is too noisy, expensive or inefficient, the VIS series is an ideal product.
The VIS-B includes an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) as standard, making the UPS enormously effective even in poor mains supply conditions. The wide input voltage window regulates the output voltage to within safe limits without switching to battery power, even if the input voltage fluctuates by as much as 30% from normal. This feature extends battery life and ensures the batteries are in optimal condition, fully charged and ready to offer maximum runtime should the mains power fail.
The VIS-B features RJ45 surge protection for connection of an Ethernet cable to prevent surges on network lines entering the system through backdoor routes, and UK outlets to connect all equipment without the use of adapters required for IEC output devices. An LCD screen is incorporated displaying connected load and battery charge levels, input and output voltages and warnings for overload and fault conditions.
The provided software (or free download) enables intelligent shut-down and monitoring of the UPS via USB or RS232 interface. The software enables UPS start-up and shut-down programming, logging and email messaging (alerting users to the UPS status across the local network). The software is compatible with most operating systems, providing a safe shut down in the event of an extended power failure. Additionally, the UPS automatically restarts upon power being restored.
